What a common sense, current, and wise approach to a government. It is so liberating to see this in practice. Thank you so much for this website. Let us all participate!
Where else, but in Hawaii, with such a small population to govern but with so many big ideas to implement, which can easily impact and lead this paradigm shift in the entire USA and the world as well for that matter. So many good ideas are killed every legislative session every year in our state it is a shame. I believe this e-government initiative is exactly what the old structures (the cancer in our government) will fight against. Let us unite and be ready for it. The old structures are already fighting. Mayor is arrogantly running those "pro Rail ads" paid by all of us by our taxpayers’ money, he doesn't want us to vote on this public works project of his - TheRail. He knows, that just by placing that issue on the ballot, it would stimulate much much more people (more that 36% mainly his supporters) to vote on this and obviously at the same time on other items including mayoral race, city council members race, ConCon convetion, .... We have to be absolutely willing to educate ourselves and help to educate our neighbors before this upcoming 2008 election or we all will be again delegated to the positions of slowly and more irreversibly brainwashed, overworked, tired taxpayers - useful idiots for the benefit of only few greedy arrogant governmental officials and their associates. God bless you and us all on this exciting jurney.
