Age 42, single (but looking to get married hopefully soon)
saving to buy a first house hopefully in 5-10 years (renting now)
Occupation: civil engineering
Not politically active but very concerned about future trends
Have pretty much given up on current democrat/republican political system
Hoping to find something to disprove the seemingly overwhelming evidence that the political system in this state is so corrupt and out of control that its beyond any hope of redemption......
asking the question: would a Con-Con really improve anything for the average "local" person living here?

Redeeming faith...yes if we weed out the corruption mingled in with nepitism there is hope..
Wasnt too politically active until this year as I believe that we need a change..I am tired of Bushwackeonomics ! I am not sure where in Hawaii you live but this outrageous costs of fuel is disgusting..and here on the Big Island if one doesnt have a vehicle then how does one work..yes the Mayor used left-over monies to allow tax payers the priviledge of riding for free..and maybe an option if no one in this State gets it together...the entire State will be using public transportation. Better still, some of our fat politicians 'hitchhiking!' Can you imagine that!
I am not certain if this gets posted for all to see, but I have alot to share with you since we are on the same page..lol
As far as housing here we may all have to revert back to my ancestorial way of living "grass shacks!" But even that as a housing consideration would not pass County codes go figure..
According to codes one needs to install a sprinkler systems and who can afford those?
Out of desperation of a friend who was evicted from their home, I found that there was a Statue that states that a landlord could evict a person at any given time..Ludicrous not too mention that here in Hawaii there is no rent control so in some areas we have what would be the comparison of 'slum lords' in other parts of the USA...Coupled with the 'baby boomers' who have pushed prices so far out of reach, owning a home is a nightmare..! So I began my quest looking for help and found that there was none!!!! And out of the ashes of despair I started a non-profit...we just completed new-homeowner training and hopefully a few of our participants will be able to afford a home...
