HawaiiConCon.org is a grassroots community effort to engage the public in a discussion about the Hawaii Constitutional Convention. At its core HawaiiConCon.org will provide the citizens of Hawaii a resource for information and a place to interact with others in Hawaii on the issues pertaining to the Hawaii Constitution. It's ultimate goal is to catalyze a decision whether or not a Constitutional Convention is merited. And, with the broad reaching impact of the Internet HawaiiConCon.org is a grand experiment in e-Democracy, to leverage the tools of communications and interaction to engage OUR community. It's aim is simply to:
Learn - Discuss - Decide.
HawaiiConCon.org exists to get more citizens involved in the political process. While the Internet has certainly changed how election campaigns are executed, it has done very little to evolve the public decision-making process. HawaiiConCon.org intends to lead thousands of citizens with efficient participation in public policy decisions and the Hawaii Constitutional Conversion may be the most perfect place to start.
