Hawaiian Alliance deciding your neighbors votes. 9 Replies

I have asked my co-workers and friends who have voted early about their decision on the con-con. They all have voted against it. When I asked them why I felt like I was watching one of the ads from…Continue

What are your reasons for voting for or against ConCon? 11 Replies

Our problems in Hawaii are as obvious as they are relevant. Grossly expensive housing, drug epidemics, a local economy dependant on tourism, traffic, and etc. These issues must be addressed…Continue

Residency requirement 3 Replies

A topic to be considered for con-con is whether there should be a requirement that a candidate for public office must live in the district he seeks to represent, and for how long a time before the…Continue

Would a Con-Con really do enough to solve pressing issues for the average working person and family who lives here? 18 Replies

I must admit that I'm completely new to this as well as political involvement in general. I am very concerned about some trends and issues that are obvious to those who must work and live here, but…Continue

The people have decided. Now we need to execute.

One of the characteristics of great companies is that the management team engages in spirited debates over key issues and may fervently disagree with one another but once the CEO makes the decision, everyone falls in line and works together as hard as they can to execute the choice as successfully as possible.

This campaign was an amazing experience for me personally as I saw both sides work so hard and so skillfully to put forth their case to the public. It was a great,… Continue

He Hawaii Au

I may not be eligible to vote, due to the fact that I'm only 13 years of age. However, that doesn't stop me from being who I am, He Hawaii au. As young as I may be, I too want to contribute to the Hawaiian community in ways perpetuating information for generations to come.

My email to Hawaii Alliance . org

The reasons that you are giving for voting no on the con-con are fear mongering and without real merit. However, the fact that a blank vote counts as a no vote is the main reason I am encouraging everyone to vote "Yes". The state has decided to take away our freedom of speech by counting blank votes. It has determined that if you do not know enough about the issue to vote on it, the state will decide your vote for you.

I did get a kick out out former Governor Arioshi's statement "A… Continue

Y NOT? I think generally social media is ripe for exchange of ideas, as opposed to just tweeting among a fan base. You had the idea of a virtual town hall. Launch that. If you look at disqus or topix, why not have one for specific deliverables (as…

Okay, Now What? Furlough Fridays have come and gone, and there is a groundswell of calls to reinvent education "fo' real kine." Today's "Star-Advertiser" (likely a moniker as "Furlough Fridays" two years…

Aloha Bully! I'm glad you've joined up here but as you know the ConCon issue is over so this site is here more as a memorial to that event.
